Summer is winding down, which means school is almost back in session. Our kids may be excited, nervous, and overwhelmed- and us parents might be excited, nervous, and overjoyed! But in all seriousness, this time of year brings change for everyone, so let’s chat about ways to make that transition as smooth as possible.

Is anyone here a list taker? How great does it feel to cross items OFF the list? Personally, it’s one of my favorite things. It might be helpful to create a back-to-school list and review it with your child. This can help everyone stay organized and on the same page.

Did your kids lack a schedule during the summer? Try taking a couple of days to practice your school schedule with them! This could mean going to bed earlier and setting an alarm to wake up in time for school. This will give them time to adjust and get used to these changes before the school year begins.

Planning meals ahead of time can be a great way to save time and money when schedules get busy. It could require making a list, but remember the great feeling of crossing things off?!

I wish you and your family a happy and healthy upcoming school year! Make it the best year yet!

    Be well,
