The team at Jack Frost is always reinventing the wheel by creating new combinations of donuts.
One of the shop’s favorite creations is their celebration donuts. The cakes are made out of donuts. However, their most popular items are the glazed and maple bacon donuts, which are simple but classics. In addition, other staples found on their shelves are the smiley donuts, which even adults get excited about.
Jack Frost’s Loyalty to Tradition
The donut recipe has not changed since its start in 1937. The current owner, Fred Borkey Jr., continued to stay true to the traditional methods used to make these pastries, which adds to the nostalgic feeling of this donut shop.
Customers come from all over Northeast Ohio to indulge in these mouthwatering donuts. People also travel from as far east as Mentor and as far west as Sandusky. “And of course there’s a huge group of supporters in Old Brooklyn who try to get involved in as much as they can in their community because it’s in their own backyard,” says Erin Rodeno, partner of Fusion.
