October 2017: In this video Andrew and Keri November discuss the Social Security number updates announced for 2018. They also explain how this will affect disability benefit payments.

When people are talking “getting disability” or “being on disability” they’re talking about two different programs provided by the Social Security Administration (SSA). Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) are two different programs with separate rules and qualifications for each.

On this weeks episode of Liner Legal’s ASL Legal Lessons, Keri November talks about the Trial Work Period (TWP). The TWP is for people who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and is a period of time in which an individual can test their ability to work while still receiving their SSDI benefits.
