AOD - What it means: Alleged Onset Date ?
What it is: The date you became disabled
DLI - What it means: Date Last Insured ?
What it is: The last day of a quarter that a person meets insured status for blindness or disability.
EOD - What it means: Established Onset Date ?
What it is: The date the SSA believes your disability began, based off medical records
PIA - What it means: Primary Insurance Amount ?
What it is: A retirement benefit a person would receive at their normal retirement age, where the benefit is not increased or decreased due to early or late retiremen.
SGA - What it means: Substantial Gainful Activity ?
What it is: The amount of money a person can make while also qualifying for disability benefits.
SSA - What it means: Social Security Administration ?
What it is: An agency of the U.S. Government that administers Social Security, a social insurance program consisting of disability, survivor benefits, and retirement.
SSDI - What it means: Social Security Disability Insurance ?
What it is: A federal program that provides cash payments to people who meet the federal definition of “disabled.”
SSI - What it means: Supplemental Security Income ?
What it is: A federal program that provides cash payments to people who meet the federal definition of “disabled.”
UNF - What it means: Unfavorable Decision ?
What it is: A written decision denying benefits after a hearing.
