Emily Anderson brings a rare blend of courtroom excellence, government insight, and heart-driven advocacy to her role as a Social Security Disability Attorney at Liner Legal. With nearly a decade of legal experience and over seven years spent directly inside the Social Security Administration, Emily offers clients the deep understanding of disability law that only comes from seeing it from both sides. As part of Liner Legal’s national team of Disability Warriors, Emily is proud to represent individuals across the country who are navigating the often-overwhelming path to disability benefits.
Emily’s legal journey began with standout academic and advocacy achievements. Selected from the top 6% of her law school class, she joined the Moot Court Honor Society, winning national awards including Top Oralist and the Edmond Burke Award in Forensic Oratory. She was also handpicked as a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant, mentoring fellow law students in advocacy and legal analysis.
During law school, Emily became a certified mediator and volunteered at the Daly Center to help mediate disputes, which provided helpful insight into how emotionally charged legal battles can become, and how necessary it is for people to feel seen and heard in their search for justice. It was an experience that shaped her belief that legal advocacy is as much about listening and empathy as it is about strategy.
She launched her legal career in insurance defense, where she sharpened her litigation skills but quickly realized her true calling was public service. In 2015, she joined the Social Security Administration as an Attorney Advisor, where she advised administrative law judges, worked directly with claimants, and drafted thousands of disability decisions. Her focus was always on fairness, timeliness, and justice.
Today, she brings that same dedication to her clients at Liner Legal. Emily channels her knowledge, meticulous legal mind, and compassion-driven focus to help clients across the country secure the disability benefits they’ve worked for and deserve. Whether guiding a client through a hearing or strategizing the strongest medical record, she brings unwavering integrity, clarity, and heart to every case.
Emily specializes in Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cases including initial filings, reconsideration appeals, hearings before administrative law judges, and claim development strategy. Her firsthand experience inside the SSA gives her clients a unique advantage: she knows how decisions are made and what it takes to win.
She now proudly serves clients in all 50 states as part of Liner Legal’s growing national practice.
Emily’s life outside of law is grounded in family and service. After taking time off to raise her two young children, she returned to the legal field with renewed purpose: to help individuals secure life-changing benefits through expert legal representation.
